Well, I think I've kept people waiting long enough. Especially Frizz () who's favourite song it is. And at last it's finished! W00t! And look! Another different colouring style!
So, yeah, background info:
Ever since hearing Greenday's song, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" on The Hits last year I loved it. And every time I listen to it, all I seem to think about is Shadow. The lyrics and mood of the song just suit him so well. Y'know, how he's angsty and aways wanting to be left alone (at least that's how i see him)
The key lyrics that make me think this are as follows:

I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone
This is the "wanting to be alone" bit I was talking about. And that he's really unsure about himself and his past and stuff, and this unsureness is teh only thing he's know since reawakening after 50 years.

Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
This shoes us that Shaodw only puts on this angtsy, mysterious front, but in fact he has a ooie-gooey caramel centre that just wants to be loved.

I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
Again there's that unsurity thing.

Check my vital signs
To know I'm still alive and I walk alone
Ah! Now I really like this part. Basically, we've seen Shadow die in SA2. And he keeps blacking out in Sonic Battle. I get the idea that he's constantly pushing to stay alive... or somethign like that.

Anyway, that's what I think about n__n

The picture idea is based on the song's video. At the start Greenday get out of teh car on this dusty old road. So here, I wanted to give it that old dustly feeling so I made it really sketchy. I also thought it's be good to make Shadow look like a hermit/traveller. Maybe on a journey of discovery. I then thought he should be struggling against the wind, which is why his hand is up against his face, protecting it from the flying dust and stuff.
As for the lyrics, I thought that it'd be great to write them as if it was a story, more importantly Shadow's story. But if it was a story, I had to leave out all the "Ah-ha"s and all the "I walk alone"s. It just saves repeating myself.

AH YES! The new style. Thanks so much to for the tip he gave me. Now it looks like a painting n___n I LOVE MY TABLET!
Just a soft brush that changes opacity and flow depending on pen pressure on the tablet. SO COOL! And after all that, I added that sepia hint to make it look even older and dustier! I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
The only things I have a problem with are the background being kinda plain, and Shadoes right hand is much bigger than his left.
